The Ministry of Health Jamaica requested today caution to the citizenship that collect water from rivers and streams to use in their homes during the cuts of supply of drinking water, established as a result of the drought affecting the region.
Last june of 2015, the water levels of the major reservoirs of Jamaica had decreased by more than half the usual levels because of the drought that is experiencing the region, as explained to the Efe Charles Buchanan, public relations manager of the National Water Commission.

The east and south of Jamaica have been the most affected by the drought that has affected the Caribbean since months ago, while the north and west have received rain. Currently used measures of rationing in the Caribbean island as supply water to certain sectors only in certain hours of the morning and in others, on alternate days.
The Commission provides 90 % of drinking water in the Caribbean nation and meets the demand of 2 million people on an island composed of some 2.7 million inhabitants.

Education
The emancipation was a important way to establishment of the Jamaican education. Before to emancipation there were few schools for educating locals. Many sent their children off to England to access quality education.
The MICO University College is the oldest, it was founded in 1836

Students are taught Spanish in school from the primary level upwards; about 40–45% of educated people in Jamaica knows some form of Spanish
Additionally, through an extensive scholarship network for the various universities. Human Employment and Resource Training-National Training Agency (HEART Trust-NTA) programme help population who cannot afford further education.
